The campaign has begun and the first enemy was Raydan's NeoTerra Army...
No puedo negar que cuando supe quien era mi oponente deseé que hubiese sido mejor alguien menos experimentado pero, tras un corto periodo de aceptación, acepté con emoción el reto. Para aquellos que no lo conozcan, en la temporada pasada el buen Raydan ganó casi todos los torneos de estos lares.
I can't deny that when I know who was I am going to deal with I said to myself: Why him? But after a short period of acceptation, I got excited. For all of you that don't know Raydan, last ITS season he won almost all the Tournaments he got into, and let me tell you that those were all the Tournaments here at Mexico City.

La Partida / The Match

La partida comenzó con una victoria para NCA en la tirada de iniciativa y se decidió por comenzar mientras que yo decidí ubicación y que fuese él quien desplegase primero.
The match began with NCA winning the Initiative roll so he chose going first so I go for place and being second on deployment.

Su despliegue colocó dos ORAdores en un techo de su equipo enlazado: Lanzamisiles y Francotirador. Las demás partes de su tropa desplegaron a cubierto y colocó a una unidad en despliegue oculto.
NCA deployment allocated 2 ARO pieces of his Fusilier Link-Team on a roof: Missile Launcher and MULTI Sniper. The other troops deployed at cover and one unit under hidden deployment.
Por mi parte ubiqué a los jaguares a mi lado derecho y a mis Geckos del izquierdo. Mi intruder terminó en una posición central superior mientras que en la parte baja, y a cubierto, quedó mi Mobile Brigada. Zondbot para cada lado y mi Spec-Ops hacia los Geckos. Lo unico que quedó como ORAdor fue mi par de Geckos.
On my side, Jaguars went to my right side and my Geckos on the left side. My Intruder on a hidden parapet on the center and just under him, my Mobile Brigada Lt. One Zondbot on each side and my Spec-Ops near the Geckos. My only ARO pieces were the pair of Geckos.
Al empezar el turno 1 comenzó el ataque por parte de los fusileros a lo cual respondí con munición E/M, cortesía de los Blitzen. Al ganar la enfrentada logré aislar a la francotiradora lo cual hizo que se tuviera que rearmar el enlace para el siguiente turno. Por mi lado derecho un auxilia comenzó el avance con su auxbot y por el centro un poco de movimiento con unos remotos.
At the beginning of the first turn, the fusilier's attack started and my response was E/M ammunition, courtesy of the Blitzen charges. By winning the faced roll, the sniper went isolated. By the other side, the Auxilia started moving and on the middle REMs began to move.
La altura de los contenedores jugó un papel importante porque y en la última ronda no había mucho por donde dispararnos. Fue un juego muy cerrado.
The scenography height played an important roll and in the last round there were no much place for shooting too much. It was a very close match.
Pero bueno, regresando a la primera ronda: para mi turno logré avanzar mis geckos y repararles el daño que habían recibido con mi Spec-Ops a través de un Zondbot. Con el movimiento de los remotos, los koalas se activaro y pude mandar un remoto a su estado de inconsciencia, por lo que decidí usar mi Moran para marcar al auxilia y poder lanzar unas grandas especulativas y aislar al auxilia bot, lo cual salió de maravilla. Con los Jugares intenté llenar de pegamento al dueño del remoto. Además de que también falló un panzerfaust.
But well, returning to the first round: on my turn, I advanced with the Geckos. I repair them with the Zondbot so they continue the advance and the fight against the Link Team. Also, the movement of the REMs activated the Koalas so one REM out. And, I used my Moran for tagging the Aux-bot of the Auxilia and making easy the speculative E/M grenade throwing from Massacre. With the Jaguars I tried to use ADHL and, if memory doesn't fail me, I failed a Panzerfaust shot.
Para la siguiente ronda un Garuda intentó aparecer por mi flanco pero el buen Raydan confundió mis líneas de visión y terminó regalándome un ORA que con mi Chain-Colt acabó por completo con esa infiltración aérea.
For the next round a Garuda tried to deploy on my side but Raydan confused the Gecko's LoF and ended giving me a free ORA where my Chain-colt took out that Aleph's spawn.
Por su parte movió a su spec-ops e intenté arrebatarle al condenado con una ORA desde las alturas por mi Moran pero en un despliegue de habilidad logró mandarme a la hielera. Su Suizo con ametralladora hizo apareción y comenzó el tiroteo con mis Geckos quienes salieron bastante bien librados aunque para el inicio de la tercera ronda uno de ellos finalmente cayó. Realmente les fue de maravilla pues salvaron al menos 12 tiros sino es que un poco más.
He moved his Spec-Ops and I tried to kill him with my Moran but it ended against me. His Swiss guard got into action and the shooting time started! But my Geckos resisted until the thrid round when one finally fall against the HMG fire. They were fabolous, at least 12 shots they resisted!
Intenté una locura con mi Teniente que hizo que recibiera un daño al querer dispararle a la aislada franctoridora puesto que no vi que podía recibir un ORA adicional. Tenía poco que hacer y se me estaba viniendo en cima todo, por el momento tenía 4 puntos de objetivo y mi oponente iba con 2. Al perder el Gecko y matar a dos jaguares y al señor Massacre, tras darse cuenta que el Lanzamisiles si los veía, ahora me encontraba en desventaja de 5-4. Si lograba hacer otro clasificado la cosa se iría a 7-4 y pues no podía quedar así.
I tried something stupid and risked my Lt against the sniper but I didn't notice another ARO so I gain 1 wound. I have no many things to do and everything was coming over me: I had 4 OP and my opponent had 2 OP but after losing the Gecko I was obviously in disadvantage so 5-4 it was. Another Classified and could be end 7-4.
Tras mucho deliberar entre si hacer o no hacer nada en mi turno, decidí arriesgarme y eliminar a sus tropas que se encontraban cerca de mi HVT. Incluso arriesgué de nueva cuenta al Teniente solo que esta vez salió todo bien, lo malo fue que mi otro Gecko terminó poseído y eso evitó que lograra obtener esos PV.
After too much deliberation I took the risk and tried to kill all the troops that were near my HVT. Even I risked again my Lt, the good news were that it was a success but the bad news is that my Gecko ended possessed.
Al final quedó en 5-4 con una victoria para NeoTerra.
At the ended it was 5-4 for NCA.
Reflexiones / Reflections
Básicamente tuve cuatro errores que me costaron la victoria:
Basically I had 4 errors:
1. Lado incorrecto. Analizando la mesa, ya habiendo terminado la partida, me di cuenta que su lado quedaba mejor para las tropas con las que contaba. Una pena no haberme dado cuenta cuando decidí.
1. Incorrect side. Analyzing the table, after the match finished, I noticed that the other side was better for my troops. A shame!
2. Mala ubicación de la HVT. La HVT quedó fuera de mi alcance de protección, no tuve como evitar que hiciera su objetivo clasificado. Quizás del lado de los Geckos me hubiera ido mucho mejor o sino del lado de los Jaguares, el centro fue muy mala idea.
2. Bad location of the HVT. The HVT ended outside of any LoF from my troops!
3. Mala ubicación del Intruder. Al saber que sería Neoterra me imagine que habría un visor nivel 3 por lo que protegí a mi Intruder, pero la verdad es que lo protegí tanto que quedó sin posibilidad alguna de hacer algo. Una pieza costosa y letal que al final no sirvió para nada.
3. Intruder not in place. Fearing the Level 3 Visor I hide my Intruder but at the end I didn't use it!
4. No usar un token para quitar ordenes.

En fin, salí satisfecho puesto que di buena batalla y mi oponente tuvo que pensarle mucho y, de igual manera, pensé bastante para poder lograr mis objetivos. Fueron pocas ordenese pero creo que poco a poco voy mejorando en la eficiencia de las mismas. Los Geckos funcionaron de maravilla y además me dieron los dos objetivos clasificados. Con el soporte correcto de un ingeniero todo salió de marvilla, ¿Qué faltaría entonces? Un soporte de Hackeo para evitar esas condenadas posesiones.
I gave a very good battle and I really felt well after the match. It was not a victory but also it was not a shamefull lost. Also, dices went good and my Geckos were amazing! Engineering support went right and the only thing that was lacking of, was a hacker on range.
¿Siguente enemigo? Algo totalmente diferente: Ariadna. Misión: Tres en raya.
Next enemy? Something very different: Ariadna. Mission: Tic-Tac-Toe.
