Tal como comentamos en la entrada anterior de esta serie, en esta temporada 9 tenemos una especie de nuevo especialista para ciertas misiones, el "Datatracker". 

As we already commented on the last post -the first of the ITS 9 serie-, we have a new kind of specialist for some missions, the Datatracker.

Los puntos principales sobre este nuevo especialista son los siguientes:

1. La tropa estará siempre identificada por un marcador de "Data Pack", por ende el adversario siempre sabrá quien es él. Por así decirlo es información abierta.
2. La tropa deberá estar siempre desplegada, nunca en despliegue oculto y además jamás como marcador, siempre como miniatura. 
3. Las tropas irregulares y los Remotos (REM) no pueden ser seleccionados para este rol. 

The main restrictions about the selection of this specialist are the next ones:

1. The troop will be always identified with a "Data pack" marker, so the enemy player will always know who is the Datatracker (open information).
2. The troop must be always deployed, never under hidden deployment and also never in a marker state. Always as a miniature.
3. Irregular and REM troops are not selectable for this role.

Ahora bien, ¿En qué misiones es en las que se requiere de este personaje?

Las misiones se dividen básicamente en dos tipos: del tipo en las que nuestro especialista mata o  del tipo en las que nuestro especialista controla/sincroniza/captura algo.

The missions basically divide into two kinds: the ones where the datatracker kills something and the ones where the datatracker controls/synchronizes/captures something.

Un punto muy importante es que al menos en la mayoría de las misiones, los puntos que otorga este especialista son "extras", es decir, adicionales a los de la misión. Si había algo que estaba fuera de nuestras manos, quizás nuestro héroe le de la vuelta a la tortilla.

A very important point is that on the majority of the missions, the points granted by the datatracker objectives are extra points, additionals to the normal points of the mission. So if something was out of our hands for achieving, now we can have a hero for turning the odds in our favor or at least gaining some points for avoiding a complete defeat.

Las opciones en Corregidor / The options at Corregidor

Dentro de las unidades disponibles para Corregidor, tenemos a los Alguaciles (Lupe Balboa incluida), nuestros Tomcats (Carlota Incluida, y siempre y cuando no los despleguemos con DA), Daktaris, Clockmaker, Wildcats, Hellcats (Si no los desplegamos con DA), Moran Massai, Mobile Brigada, Gecko, Iguana, Jaguares, el Señor Massacre y Valerya Gromoz.

The available units for this role in Corregidor are: Alguaciles (Including Lupe Balboa), Tomcats (Including Carlota and, of course, using them as 0-G and not as AD troops), Daktaris, Clockmaker, Wildcats, Hellcats (using them as 0-G and not as AD troops), Moran Massai, Mobile Brigada, Gecko, Iguana, Jaguars, "Señor Massacre" and Valerya Gromoz.

Update: Well, Intruders can be Datatracker but will not go into Camo Marker so it depend on you if you want to use it like that, it would be interesting but it loses a big potencial. 

Con lo anterior en mente, ¿Cuál seria la unidad ideal para este tipo de misiones? Lamentablemente, no hay una unidad como tal sino que depende exactamente de la misión a disputar y del oponente a quien te vayas a enfrentar, por lo que lo ideal para este tipo de misiones es siempre tener al menos dos opciones para elegir en cada partida. Es importante mencionar que la declaración del "Datatracker" es al finalizar la fase de despliegue por lo que quien despliegue en segundo, tiene la oportunidad de saber quien será el "Datatracker" de su oponente antes que él sepa del suyo. Esto puede ser una ventaja en las misiones en las que se busca matar a esta tropa puesto que puedes intentar ejercer una contramedida.

With all the above information, Which unit could be the perfect one for this role? Sadly, there is no perfect unit for the role, as it depends on the mission and even the opponent so, you may consider having at least two options in your army in every list you bring. For this purpose, it's important to remember that the Datatracker must be designated as the Deployment phase ends so if you deploy second you have a little chance to create a countermeasure for your enemy's datatracker if you need it. 

Una posibilidad interesante son los TAG. En nuestro caso, los TAG son piloteados: tenemos al operador del Iguana y al Piloto del Gecko. Por lo que de seleccionar el TAG, el rol de "Datatracker" pasaría al piloto una vez que este desmonte... ciertamente en la Iguana sería super efectivo dado que sigue siendo una tropa bastante sólida (Esto fue tomado de los foros oficiales). En misiones donde el Datatracker tenga que matar  o controlar, el TAG nos podría favorecer aunque claro, sería una "diana de tiro" mucho más grande para nuestro contrario.

An interesting possibility: TAGs. In our case, the TAGs are manned: Iguana Operator and Gecko Pilot. So, in the case we select the TAG as our Datatracker, once the pilot gets off the TAG, the "Data Pack" marker goes to the pilot... (taken from the official forums) with this in mind, the Iguana looks like a super effective Datatracker: in the missions for killing well, you can do it; in the missions of controlling zones or objectives well, you can do it pretty well but, the only problem is that the Iguana is a big walking magnet of AROs.

Otra opción interesante serían los Moran para las misiones de asesinato ya que los Koalas podrían hacer parte del trabajo aunque como no tienen mucha resistencia, podrían también caer muy rápido.

 Another interesting option could be the Moran, more like for the killing objectives due to both Crazy Koalas but the problem is that Morans are very "skinny". 

Las opciones son muchas pero quizás la que más se adapta a este rol, tanto por su trasfondo como por sus características, son los Mobile Brigada. Más armadura, más resistencia, más coste de puntos y mayor efectividad para matar, además podrías incluso tener un "Datatracker Hacker". En listas de "Inserción Limitada" en la que no vengan TAG, creo que son la mejor opción para este rol.

There are a lot of options but maybe the unit that has a better fitting profile for this role is the Mobile Brigada. More armor, more resistance, more points (for controlling) and even we can have a Datatracker Hacker. On Limited Insertion lists without a TAG, they may be the best option for this role.
